We were able to get down to Safford this past week for Spring Break. It was just what we all needed. We took my cousin Julia with us because she was also out of school. The kids were able to play outside a TON! They really had a ball. We were able to get together with Aunt Susan on Monday night and eat at La Paloma. The food was great, but the service has gone down a bit since changing ownership. Then Tuesday we went to R&R for yummy pizza with J.T. -- the kids thought it was the coolest thing to get all you can eat. (Obviously we aren't frequent buffet diners...) We also were able to get in a quick visit with Lance Weech and introduce him to Blake. We made Chalo's our dinner spot, after retrieving some of Michael's valuable papers and pictures from Papa Welker's barn. The farm doesn't feel the same these days. The life of the house and farm left when Papa died. Michael was really excited to find some of his long lost papers. He found a lot of mission stuff, along with the original copy of his patriarchal blessing. We finished the visit on Wednesday by stopping by Rob & Michelle's for a quick chat and getting bunches of tortillas from Mi Casa. It was a short little trip, but it gave us a chance to get out of the city and take a breath of the clean, country air.

Here are the kids on the tramp over at Pursley Row.

Blake was having fun with Aunt Carole's exercise ball.

A trip to Safford is not complete without some good mexican food. It looks like the kids had a blast.
Sounds like a refreshing trip! Then mexican food to top it off does wonders!
