Since we have had so many changes in the past year, why not add one more! So right before Christmas, we loaded some belongings in our vehicles, kissed family and friends good-bye, and headed out for Southern Indiana.
Our really good friends, Kyle & Denielle had been bugging us to move out their way ever since they left AZ- so the timing was good. They have an amazing house with room enough for 2 families and their hearts are even bigger. (This picture is from a previous visit to Louisville, KY)
We left Arizona on the Monday before Christmas and headed through El Paso, making a stop for the night in Midland, TX. We didn't get to our hotel until 5 AM their time- and they had cancelled our reservation, thinking we were a no show. BUT it was easily fixed and we had a good night's rest (or good morning's rest, I guess). Then we headed out and drove for another 15 hours or so to Memphis, TN to stay on a Naval Activity Station. We slept as long as we could before checking out and making the last 6 hour leg of our journey to Southern Indiana (just outside Louisville, KY).
We got to Indiana on Christmas Eve, and had to unpack the trailer to get out the presents for the next morning (not one of my best packing maneuvers... oops). It was really exhausting, but the trip went so smoothly, we knew angels were riding with us. It was a blessing to make a safe trip, and it has definitely been a blessing to be in this part of the country!
