Michael has finally made it to Basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He is alive, and as well as can be imagined- he is keeping his chin up and doing his best to keep his Drill Sergeant off his back.
He said one of the young recruits was giving him a hard time about being the old man- he told Michael "You're 32? What was it like when the dinosaurs were roaming the earth?", to which Michael replied, "I don't know, what is it like to wear diapers?" It's obvious to see that he hasn't lost his quick wit and good sense of humor.
